Provides the full range of employment services to both job applicants and employers. Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Applies vocational counseling tools and techniques to help applicants in making a vocational choice, change, or adjustment;
- Assesses, analyzes, and evaluates applicants’ total qualifications and limitations for work;
- Refers applicants to basic education and/or vocational skill training;
- Determines applicant’s need for supportive services such as medical, legal, child care, rehabilitative or others and makes referral to the appropriate private or public agency for services;
- Contacts employers, unions, and other private and public agencies to explain and promote services and programs, and to solicit job orders, internship, career shadowing, mentoring, work experience, and other employer engagement opportunities;
- Obtains information on employer needs, occupations and hiring requirements, working conditions, wage rates, hours, and other relevant data necessary for services to both employers and workers;
- Matches qualifications of individuals who are ready to work with requirements of the employer; and
- Performs other related duties as required.
