Within JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate and Firmwide Communications team, the Digital Content Channel Management (DCCM) Center of Excellence is partnering with the firm’s Global Technology organization to transform the four primary digital channels the firm uses for employee communications, including:

• Employee intranet site

• Broadcast email platform

• Internal video sharing and transmission platforms

• Intranet and email metrics reporting tool.

This newly created role, which reports to the Executive Director who leads the DCCM CoE, requires a dynamic individual with a passion for:

• Building relationships with the firm’s employee communicators and their technology partners
• Understanding and articulating communicators’ business requirements for technology
• Learning technology platforms and processes and communicating about them to non-technical audiences
• Navigating a matrixed global organization to solve business challenges for communicators
• Collecting and analyzing metrics to help communicators prioritize their work and enhance their strategies

Fundamentally, this individual will help ensure that the firm’s 100+ employee communicators have the tech tools and resources and data insights to be effective in their roles.

Primary responsibilities include the following :

• Oversee the development by Global Technology of user guides for each of the four primary digital communication channels listed above.

• Partner with hiring managers across Communications to identify role-based technology needs for new hires and share requirements with Global Technology to ensure accurate delivery.

• Coordinate digital communication channel access rights and identify training gaps.
  • Conduct quarterly audits of access against current role and training requirements.

• Identify approach for developing and maintaining role-based training modules (e.g., Videographer, Content Manager).

• Establish and regularly convene “communities of practice” (i.e., groups of communicators who use a specific channel) for each of the four primary digital communication channels; coordinated by this individual, the communities should:
  • Escalate technology “pain points” to Global Technology
  • Identify and help scale best practices
  • Generate new ideas for channel features and shape business requirements for Global Technology
  • Coordinate testing new channel features

• Schedule regular information sessions and “tech bars” to support communicators.

• Provide support to the DCCM CoE management team for miscellaneous tasks and projects to support Digital Channel transformation processes; select examples:
  • Analyze bi-monthly intranet survey results and share with management
  • Support the production of reporting and the development of new metrics and reporting
  • Test new features
  • Document governance processes.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a complex organization, ideally in a technology- or change management-focused role (e.g., IT help desk representative) that included use of any or all of the following: Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, broadcast email, and/or content management systems.
• Strong relationship-building skills: must have the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple product areas and geographies.
• Strong organization skills: must have the ability to prioritize, track, and manage multiple deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (a writing assessment will be part of the interview process): must have the ability to deliver information clearly to management and stakeholders.
