We are conducting a national search for top talent to lead our fundraising team supporting the College of Agriculture! This college is ranked in the Top 10 among
the Nation’s 140 agriculture programs.
This position provides guidance and management of the college/unit major gifts program and
team. The Senior Director/Director is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects.
This position participates in strategy development and solicitation strategies specific to their portfolio and goals. This position manages
and mentors a team of fundraisers, and sets an example through their leadership and interaction with colleagues, University partners and
community members. Review research reports and information from the Prospect Analytics and Research team on assigned donors and prospects.
Plan trips and contact donors to set appointments for visits. Build relationships for the University with donors, collaborate with
development division units and effectively present the case for philanthropic support of the University and explain gift
opportunities.
This position is highly collaborative with other colleagues, and works closely with University and Foundation
leadership. Follow up with correspondence, phone calls and additional visits as appropriate to close gifts. This position also requires
extensive public contact with high-level alumni, donors, and volunteers. Travel is required.
