Due to continued growth, we’re currently seeking a motivated team player with a minimum 5 years of recent public accounting experience to lead tax and accounting engagements. Working directly with the firm’s Partners and clients in various industries, responsibilities include:

• Gather data for forensic accounting engagements; analyze information by developing spreadsheet reports
• Prepare compiled financial statements including adjusting journal entries, trial balance, and bank reconciliations
• Complete outsourced controller work, accounting operations and advisory work
• Prepare individual and corporate tax returns and complete complex tax research
• Provide accounting support by reviewing financial information and converting data to general ledger system
• Resolve clients’ tax and accounting inquiries through research and data interpretation
• Develop and cultivate professional client relationships

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Capacity and commitment to work 20-40 hours a week
• Minimum of 5 years of recent public accounting experience encompassing progressive scope and responsibilities
• CPA license or progression toward achieving a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, project management, client service, time management and PC skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency (QuickBooks proficiency preferred; Creative Solutions & Fixed Assets software proficiency are a plus)
• Ability to professionally lead client engagements, identify complex accounting issues and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• A passion for and sense of personal satisfaction in helping small businesses succeed.
• Confidence in learning and embracing new technology to solve client issues.
• Experience in developing strong remote team relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and sharing of best practices.
• Commitment to maintain the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data.
