Description Summary: The Project Designer role at KaTom is an integral part of the Design and Build team, supporting a wide variety of project types with varied design complexities. Reporting to our lead designer this position will also collaborate with our sales team, project managers, customers, and architects creating a world class design experience.
· Design and layout kitchens, bars, and other foodservice areas to submit for construction, bidding, and installation purposes
· Produce foodservice utility plans showing rough-in connections for electrical, plumbing, and special conditions requirements
· Develop presentations and 3D renderings
· Identify and understand local health codes applicable to projects
· Develop and ensure drawing compliance with company drafting and design standards
· Coordinate and respond to foodservice RFI’s that arise for each project
· Modify and revise plans as required based on leadership and client direction
· Creative, collaborative, problem solving with sales team and project management
Qualifications & Requirements
· Associates degree or certification in architecture, drafting, interior design, or related field or comparable food service industry experience required
· Advance proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
· Experience with 3D rendering software such as Enscape preferred
· Proficiency in Adobe Suite, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Ability to perform assigned task proficiently and in a timely manner without excess supervision
· Resourcefulness in finding information and answers without prompting or micromanagement
· Possesses outstanding written, interpersonal, verbal, graphic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Strong critical thinking ability
· Strong operational knowledge of the food service industry
· Experience in commercial interiors is recommended.
