Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of African American Studies faculty position in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies that begins August 2023.
This position is in the program of African & African Diaspora Studies (AADS). We welcome applicants with research and disciplinary backgrounds from a variety of areas of focus which may include:
We have a strong preference for candidates who show a commitment to building relationships with local and community partners and/or a commitment to student success through recruitment and career counseling. Faculty in the department teach in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.
Responsibilities
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
An earned Ph.D., or its foreign equivalent, in Black Studies/African American Studies/African & African Diaspora Studies/Africana Studies or related fields/disciplines is required. ABDs can apply with degree earned by August 1, 2023.
