Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The Integrated Health Science program is housed in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education (HPE). The Department is also home to programs in Public Health Education and Health & Physical Education and minors in Public Health and Coaching. The HPE Department is one of four units in the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services which have as their central focus the health, physical fitness, and human service needs of our community.
Job Summary
Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Integrated Health Science position in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education starting August 2022.

The Department seeks a faculty member who can support the new undergraduate program in Integrated Health Science. Responsibilities include:
Required Qualifications
The Wellstar College maintains a robust research portfolio with strengths in Health Equity, including Global Health, Rehabilitation, and Chronic Disease Prevention, and Community-Based Action Research.
The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate, or its foreign equivalent, in health science, health service management, public health, or other closely related field. Candidates must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication and teaching skills; a record of successful scholarship through publications, presentations, and grant writing; and experience collaborating and serving the discipline through professional service.
Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate should have: 1) Successful teaching experience at the college level, especially teaching coursework applied health science, behavioral health, health services management, and interprofessional education; 2) Current or recent experience in the healthcare system; 3) Experience cultivating partnerships for internships and experiential learning; 4) Familiarity with experiential teaching methods in all types of course modalities; 5) Evidence of strong commitment to student success; 6) Capability to obtain external funding; and 7) Experience with students learning outcomes assessment.
