Department Information
The Department of Secondary and Middle Grades Education offers an undergraduate program in Middle Grades Education and Secondary Education as well as graduate programs (M.A.T., M.Ed., Ed.S., Ed.D.) in various middle and secondary area concentrations. Service courses are also offered to support secondary, elementary, and PK-12 programs. The department faculty are committed to the development of expertise in teaching and learning in collaboration with units across campus and local school districts. Our programs foster the development of knowledge, skills, and dispositions required of educators who design and implement integrated instructional programs for learners that are developmentally and culturally responsive.
Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track, Clinical Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction faculty position in the Department of Secondary and Middle Grades Education (SMGE) beginning August 2023, with responsibilities for graduate teaching and graduate student success initiatives (e.g., recruitment, advising, mentoring, and so on).
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach students enrolled in the Curriculum and Instruction Educational Specialist (CIES) program and will advise graduate students across departmental programs. More specifically, the successful candidate will:
