Our client is a successful and growing supplier of specialty materials serving a wide range of industries and is located just west of Boston. They are seeking a dynamic Director of Government Affairs to lead their government relations strategy. The Director’s focus will be on developing/executing government relations strategies, building relationships with various associates and an advocate for the company’s interests in legislative and regulatory matters. Additionally, key duties include collaborating with other teams to communicate the company’s positions on policy issues; preparing policy briefs, white papers, etc. to educate policymakers; managing external lobbying efforts; providing leadership/guidance to member of the Government Affairs team; and ensuring internal stakeholders are kept up to date on legislative/regulatory matters. Interested candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, law or related field (Master’s degree preferred); 10+ years directly related experience with a track record of successful engagement with government officials and regulatory agencies; in-depth knowledge of government processes; excellent communication, strategic and analysis skills; strong leadership qualities and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
