KGPCo Hiring for Telecommunications Assembler / Installer Hiring Event Job at Roanoke, TX Full Time

The Telecommunications Assembler/Installer builds-out wireless telecommunications cabinets to support wireless networks nationwide; typically containing a rack or cabinet, routers, electrical panels, back planes, power plants, rectifiers, surge protection panels, alarm boards, cabling, and other associated telecommunications equipment and devices. These assemblies are fully populated and complex in nature and are assembled with attention to detail and quality needed to meet or exceed KGPCo and carrier grade customer expectations. We are looking for individuals who want to be part of building the latest, state of the art, 5G networks. If you’re looking to begin a new career, we are ready to train you! And if you have experience, we’d love to talk to you as well! Experienced installers will be compensated above the entry-level rate.
*Please note – this hiring event will be held at the Irving, TX KGPCo facility and the first few weeks of training will be at this facility as well. The work facility (after training) will be located in Northlake, TX.
What You’ll Do:
Electrical assembly activities including AD & DC power cabling, grounding, signal cabling, fiber connections, alarm punchdowns, cable routing and lacing, and connection of batteries
Mechanical assembly activities including conduit, Unistrut, electrical boxes, knock-outs, and other mechanical components
Rack-and-Stack and interconnection of complex electronic components, routers, baseband units, etc.
Practice quality awareness and have the ability to implement quality control processes and procedures in a carrier grade network deployment
Understand and follow KGPCo Safety practices
Learn and demonstrate the proper use of hand, power, and hydraulic tools associated with telecommunications cabinet assembly
Read and stay current on KGPCo assembly practices and documentation to include interpretation of Engineering drawings, specifications and prints.
Handle complex electronic components including inventory, inspect for damage or defects; physically install the components and build the cabinet assembly following customer’s engineering specifications and drawings with minimal guidance from Supervisor.
What You’ve Done or Skills You Possess:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Some trade school training is desired.
Moderate electromechanical assembly experience is strongly desired but NOT required
Electrical/electronics experience (car stereo/home theater installs, etc) is desired but NOT required
Ability to pass drug & background screenings.
Confidence in using Microsoft Office and Excel.
Work well within a team
Good written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to learn and understand basic electromechanical processes.
Ability to learn, read and understand technical drawings, schematics and documentation; must have the ability to learn electrical color codes.
