Job Description – Back Office Supervisor
Reports to Lead Physician and Practice Manager
Exercises supervision over the training and evaluation of the MA staff
The Supervisor is expected to have critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills to address and meet patient needs while contributing to a positive care experience and work environment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Refilling prescriptions, prior authorizations, referrals and triage
Monitor back office MAs and coordinate their duties and schedule
Direct staff to ensure the office runs smoothly and providers have adequate coverage
Inventory and weekly stocking and cleaning of exam rooms
Assist with ordering office supplies
Train clinical employees and document policies and procedures and ensure they are being followed
Supervise all vaccine responsibilities of MAs to include administration and documentation
GRITS inventory management- monthly inventory and reporting
Patient triage in office or over the phone as necessary following protocol of Providers
Assist with HEDIS Requirements
Ensure staff complies with legal regulations set out by HIPAA and OSHA
Oversee Medical Bio waste pick-up
SDS updates
CLIA-waived Lab compliance
Competency evaluation for all back office employees semi-annually
Maintenance and calibration of all equipment
Oversee daily controls are performed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
