About the KIPP New Orleans Teacher Residency
The KIPP New Orleans Teaching Residency is an innovative program launched in 2015. The residency program offers aspiring PreK-12 educators a unique opportunity to receive hands-on in-class training at one of our thirteen KIPP New Orleans Schools (KNOS).
Each resident will be paired with a Resident Advisor who will serve as a daily mentor, coach, and advisor for the entire academic year. Resident advisors will observe, coach, and support their teacher residents to ensure successful first-year teaching.
In addition to having a Resident Advisor, each resident will receive extensive training, practice, and professional development led by our network’s most highly effective teachers.
Residents will also have access to regional professional development and weekly school-based professional development sessions.
