JOB SUMMARY: The Employee Relations/Business partner is responsible for the day-to-day employee relations needs of the organization and functions as a support to all ancillary and nursing departments of the hospital. Responsible for employee relations, strategic advisor, conducting investigations, training, interpreting policy, union grievances, compliance, providing guidance and conflict management, and demonstrating a consultative approach to problem solving.
Essential Functions (list in order of importance including measures)
- Responsible for employee relations questions and inquiries from both employees and managers ensuring company policies and practices are followed. Assessment of the inquiry/complaint identifying potential risk, involving the appropriate parties, interpreting policy and proposing recommendations and/or taking action to ensure a timely resolution.
- Strategic HR advisor to the executive/senior business leaders to align talent management practices, workforce effectiveness, and/or organizational effectiveness strategies in support of the hospital’s strategy and purpose.

Job Requirements:
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration. Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR ) preferred.
- 9+ plus years Human Resource Business Partner or Generalist experience, or an equivalent related (e.g., hiring, training, performance management), combination of experiences in employee and labor relations
- Demonstrated ability to resolve grievances and strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional writing skills with demonstrated ability with writing ER reports
- Healthcare Experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
