Pay Range
$71,370.00 – $92,424.00 Annually
Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.
Job Description
We have 2 openings for an Onboarding Service Operations Specialist. You will assess onboarding functions and monitor adherence to policies, procedures, and systems. You will be responsible for the administrative coordination supporting the Onboarding Program within the Workforce Development Division. This position is in the Human Resources Directorate.
Telecommuting options are available for this position.
You will
Collect and validate operational and planning data for customer use and management decision making while working across multiple functional areas. Prepare a variety of reports to include tracking and updating project status and timeline.
Coordinate new hires onboarding programs including creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases to track completed activities. Serve as the point of contact regarding new hire event opportunities.
Create, plan, maintain, and update a master events calendar and new hire guide to reflect all available new hire activities. Maintain internal new hire website.
Collaborate with others across the Lab to ensure the completion of projects and ongoing activities.
Coordinate small projects including timeline planning and communicating identified resources to team members for a clear understanding of assignments.
Maintain and monitor onboarding projects by organizing, documenting, and following up on action items. Assist management and team members with managing workflow and perform administrative tasks in support of the project.
Respond to customer requests, interpreting and adhering to established guidelines while identifying process improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE L-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
Experience coordinating work activities, workflow, and processes for a service operations/customer service area.
Knowledge of industry best business practices, techniques, standard processes, and systems in support of a service operations area.
Experience collecting, tracking, and reporting project status and timelines.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, Engineering personnel, and various levels of management.
Experience effectively applying good judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills to identify solutions, and resolve issues.
Knowledge and experience with computers and business tools and technologies.

Security Clearance
This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L-level clearance. If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.
