Leal Vineyards is looking for an enthusiastic, results-driven hospitality Human Resources/Recruiting Assistant! This position is responsible for recruiting top talent for each of our hospitality properties as well as providing general administrative support to the HR department. Successful candidates will have a background in hospitality sales, operations, or hospitality recruiting that focuses on results and personal accountability. They will also have experience working as part of a close team to achieve results under tight deadlines. They must have the ability to shift priorities without losing sight of the big picture.

Essential Responsibilities: *

• Utilize the full spectrum of tried-and-true as well as innovative and advanced sourcing and recruiting strategies and methods to identify candidates including, but not limited to, direct sourcing, Internet job boards, social media sites, career/job fairs, Internet-based groups, cold calling, association web sites, on-campus recruiting, internships, employee referrals, and good old fashioned “pounding the pavement” to find talent
• Work with hiring managers to assess current and forecasted hiring needs
• Ensures full compliance with company standards and policies as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations
• Develop and nurture talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
• Assist with creating and revising job descriptions with accurate qualifications and meeting all branding standards
• Create and maintain job advertisements on company web pages and other online job boards
• Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Assist managers with reference checks
• Point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Assist managers with new hire orientations and ensure departmental orientation takes place
• Organize and facilitate on-site career fairs and/or open application hours as needed
• Attend and represent the company at local university and city/county workforce career events
• Keeping abreast of developments in the hospitality industry and movements in similar companies
• Handling confidential information with complete discretion
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Skills:

• 2 years minimum agency or corporate recruiting experience (non-exempt recruiting experience preferred).
• Verbal and written bilingual English/Spanish is required
• Hospitality-related industry recruitment experience is highly desired.
• Prior experience with applicant tracking systems is highly desired.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new recruiting techniques and systems.
• Proficient in Word Perfect and Excel.
• Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness, ability to establish priorities and work independently, and monitor own work to ensure quality work products.
• Strong technical knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations pertaining to recruitment.
• Ability to work across the organization to achieve results, ideally in a large organization requiring interaction within multiple business units.
• Clear, effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Proven aptitude to execute in a fast-paced professional environment
• Strong ability to screen, interview, and onboard an ideal candidate within an appropriate and consistent timeline
• Strong interviewing skills and familiarity with various interview techniques.
• Ability to multitask, and take initiative in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
• Excel at attention to detail and highly organized
• Must possess a valid and current California Driver License with safe driving record
• This position will be based out of our Hollister but candidate will be required to travel to other locations (Morgan Hill) within the portfolio on a frequent basis

In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $22.00 and $24.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
