Job Description:
Performs HR customer service functions by answering staff requests and questions on a timely manner, and escalates issues, as appropriate.
Supports the People Operations Department with various clerical functions/administrative tasks, including processing of staff status changes, generating reports, providing guidance to staff on HR policies and processes, recording of various information in the HRIS system that includes ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
Plans and supports, and may facilitate company-wide information meetings such as new hire orientation, onboarding, health and wellness programs and events, etc.
Conducts and completes appropriate new hire requirements such as, I-9, background checks, etc.
Sends staff leave of absence packet, separation packet, and coordinates with appropriate members of the People Department. May perform intake for leave of absence and work accommodations.
Completes and administer various processes for specific employment requirements; such as, DMV Pull Program, Kchecks Sanction Search Process. Provides verbal and written verifications of employment,
Tracks various reports, including retirements, staff licenses, benefits, OIG searches, and health and screening requirements. Sends staff notifications as needed.
Maintains knowledge and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
May assist with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
Performs duties as assigned with tact, discretion and in accordance with confidentiality requirements.
