We are seeking a new colleague to our LEGO® DUPLO Design team and this is your unique opportunity to join the LEGO Design organization in the LEGO Group!
Core Responsibilities
– Consumer focused. Translating insights into playful & impactful ideas. Synthesizing and sharing insights across functional teams and partners.
– Conceptualize, visualize, and articulate ideas. Work with teams to bring ideas and designs to life in a variety of media including the LEGO® Brick.
– Ideation – build new stories, themes and concepts, and mature them into new products and play experiences.
– Creation of LEGO DUPLO Models and experiences for children below 4 years old. Using the LEGO System in Play to bring your ideas to life taking the starting point in Learning through Play and with an attention to details and tone of voice.
– Collaboration with colleagues and partners in an inspiring and influencing manner.
– Strategic design thinking, evolving our play offer.

Our Design Organization consists of a dynamic, creative, and collaborative culture. No two projects are the same, and they all require different needs and expertise. The goal of this role is to contribute to the project teams, so that all can continue to deliver on an outstanding portfolio, providing children endless play opportunities. You will join a large international design team in Billund (Denmark), counting more than 400 creatives from various backgrounds, who are all passionate about the impact of play!
Do you have what it takes?
– Calling Concept and Product Designers with experience of translating insights into playful & impactful ideas.
– Calling Experience Designers who are meticulous and love turning concepts into a reality.
– Calling senior Creatives with design leadership experience, driving, empowering, and engaging with design team, drive processes, and relationships with key partners.
The above are just examples of backgrounds you could come with as a Designer in our LEGO DUPLO team. We are looking for a colleague with:
– Proven industry experience in design, such as industrial product experience, concept, or toy design.
– A passion to design for a dual consumer; children and their caregivers – eager to develop the LEGO DUPLO Models and play experiences to support the Learning through Play journey – making the everyday life and adventures of the kids come alive.
– A high degree of self-motivation and dedication. Pro-actively mastering time management to ensure key achievements are met efficiently.
– Excellent communication and visualization skills and ability to work with small/big audience.
– Strong team spirit, who actively supports and work with peers and partners, bringing an experimental and curious mentality.
– Knowledge with manufacturing, 3D software and commercial experience developing product experiences.
