Daily you will be expected to safely and successfully lead production to achieve or exceed planned hourly production volumes, cross-train and develop existing employees, and onboard and train new employees.
Our processing plants convert scrap tires into raw materials that can be reused for beneficial products, such as molded rubber goods, rubber flooring, shock-absorbing athletic surfaces, as well as playground and landscape mulch.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensures site operations are performed in a safe, productive, and environmentally complaint manner and that all safety policies and procedures are followed
· Ensures proper staffing levels, develops people, and focuses resources to attain key safety, financial, and operational goals
· Utilizes metrics and reports to identify trends, make course corrections to maximize production efficiency and profitability of the business unit
· Proactively communicates with site leadership about site performance, daily logistics and situations that may impact the achievement of budget or other operational priorities
· Ensures operators work with maintenance to execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and work orders
· Seeks ways to improve productivity and efficiency: yield, rate, and uptime
· Ensures that standardized, best work practices are exercised daily including:
o Job safety analyses
o Lock Out – Tag Out
o Daily housekeeping checklists
o Product quality checks to meet/exceed customer specifications
o Fire / Safety
o Preventative maintenance work orders completed and on-time
· Ensures site has required component parts and materials to meet planned production
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:
· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a high level of comfort working in production areas
· Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization
· Ability to prioritize and solve problems in a timely, professional manner with good financial acumen
· Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting work priorities and direction to ensure resources focus on the highest value work
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond with appropriate sense of urgency
· Excellent detail, organizational and follow-through skills
· Ability to foster an environment of teamwork
· Understanding of OSHA regulations and implementation of safety regulations
· Strong willingness to work hard, remain attentive with attention to detail in a challenging environment
· Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time
· Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50-pounds is required
Education and Work Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED, required, bachelor’s degree in related field, a plus
· Minimum of 5-years relevant experience in a manufacturing /industrial environment, required
· Ability to deliver results through people
· Proven history of establishing safety performance with a low TRIR
