DIRECT hire opportunity for a maufacturing plant
Responsible for providing continuous and professional HR support to the business. This position includes activities related to functional areas such as benefit administration, employee relations, training, performance management onboarding, offboarding, payroll, HRIS, record management, policy implementation, and full cycle recruitment.
The Human Resource Generalist work hours:
8am- 5pm or 7am – 4pm with Flexibility to attend meetings and meet with employees

The Human Resource Generalist Main Responsibility
Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
Responsible for complete source recruitment
Sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, onboarding, and training
Respond to all employee inquiries promptly, with a focus on customer service, maintaining a positive attitude, and a high level of confidentiality
Investigate and resolve employee relation matters, with support of the HR Manager
Communicate, interpret, and administer all HR policies, procedures, and programs
Assist in organizational training and development efforts
Build strong rapport with front line leadership and production associates
Maintain human resource and applicant tracking system
Payroll administration and time management system
Compile reports to assist in department KPIs
Support performance management initiatives through effective planning, communication, and tracking evaluations and wage progressions
Assist with tracking and coordinating worker s compensation, family medical leave, and safety at work programs
Coordinate company newsletter, plant communication meetings, and special projects
Develop and maintain wellness and recognition programs
Must have a “people-focused “mentality to excite and engage
Partner with other departments to create and maintain “employer of choice” culture
The Human Resource Generalist Education and Experience required
A minimum of 2-5 years in an HR support role
Degree in human resources, communication, or business and/or equivalent field experience
General understanding of employment laws, compensation, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and other specialized HR topics
Effective verbal and written communication (capable of presenting information successfully in all areas of the organization)
SPHR, PHR certification a plus
Ability to occasionally travel
