Summary
We are currently exclusively partnering with one of the world’s leading services businesses who are seeking a number 2 to the VP HR. You will be joining the company during a period of significant expansion/start-up mode for the North America region, having already established global locations across other business units.
Scope
The HR Director serves as business partner working closely with the the VP HR in really building the HR function across North America including Canada, Alaska and Gulf. The role reports to the Vice President, Human Resources, with a strong matrix reporting relationship to the regional business leaders. The region has approx 600 employees and this position provides functional operational HR oversight to the Human Resource managers at its facilities.
Key Responsibilities
The position supports the business strategy with the key priorities of talent management and building organizational capability; creating a high performance, high engagement culture; and pursuit of continuous improvement and global HR functional excellence:
· Serve as a business partner and leader on human resources policies and practices within the business.
· Drive core HR process excellence across the business: leadership and employee development, performance management, reward and recognition, employee engagement, and communications.
· Manage staffing activities in the region and assist to improve staffing and onboarding processes in the Company.
· Provide functional human resources leadership to the region’s HR managers.
· Serve as the functional driver and process owner for organization capability and talent assessment., selection, and development.
. Communicate and deploy corporate-wide HR initiatives across the business.
· Personally lead change to improve organizational effectiveness. Deliver change management methodology to internal customers.
· Administer compensation, benefits and recognition programs for the business.
· Manage labor and employee relations matters and ensure legislative compliance with employment laws and regulations.
· Responsible for key performance indicators of HR effectiveness and HR analytics.
Education and Qualifications
· 10 – 15 years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles.
· B.S. Degree in related discipline required with MS/MBA highly desirable.
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set.
· High level of influencing, coaching, and communication skills (written and verbal).
· Capable and experienced in HR operations and team management.
· Demonstrated success in building organization capability and upgrading talent.
· Ability to staff and develop an effective and capable HR team.
· Deep HR functional experience and generalist assignments in a variety of environments.
· Demonstrated business acumen and change leadership capability.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $150,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
