Purpose
Oversee all aspects of the coding operations product, assists with developing and/or improving processes and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees coding management processes in the assistance of a product that is complete, concise and provides an exceptional product to our clients
- Develop metrics within division of coding operations, meets daily LogixHealth operational standards and objectives
- Configure systems and strategies with coding operations to ensure the department goals are met
- Identify opportunities for improvement with proposed solutions.
- Assist management to adjust procedures as necessary to create process efficiencies.
- Provide project management for complex projects requiring multiple resources.
- Ensure management is informed of any/all problems that may arise.
- Prioritize and execute multiple tasks using effective time management.
- Ensure cooperative team environment by effectively communicating with staff about department and company initiatives
- Assign work to staff and ensure completion

- Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures stored in LogixGarden relevant to this position

Education (Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, Etc.)
- Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree or certification or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Certified in Medical Coding, or currently enrolled in a Medical Coding Program. Candidate is expected to be certified within one year of employment
Computer Skills
Prior word processing, spreadsheet and internet software including proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word required.
Experience
- Prior experience and proficiency with MS Excel and Outlook required
- Administrative office experience working in HIM, including medical billing and coding, required
- Medical background, Coding experience and/or certification is a plus
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
- Ability to add, to subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
- Ability to write routine s and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, use hands, talk, hear and occasionally walk and reach with hands or arms
