Introduction
Under the direction of the Vice President of
Academic Affairs, a dean will plan, develop, support, organize, direct, and supervise sizable and complex instructional and instructional
support programs.
Deans supervise and provide leadership to programs involving a group of academic subject areas/programs, a large
continuing education program, an instructional support or a student services program employing academic, classified, and unclassified staff.
Deans supervise faculty and classified and unclassified staff directly or through first-line supervisors, such as department chairs and
classified managers.
This position may require a non-traditional work schedule, including evenings and weekends, and local, state,
and national and international travel.
Length of Appointment
These are permanent 12-month positions.
Job Description
Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) announces two openings for
permanent full-time Deans of Academic Affairs. The dean provides collaborative leadership and expertise in the planning, development,
support, organization, direction, and supervision of a sizeable and complex instructional program.

Minimum Qualifications
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Health: A medical certificate indicating fitness to engage in administrative
work is required for new employees at the applicant’s expense after selection and prior to employment.

Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee’s Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or
have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with the LACCD Board of
Trustees’ policy. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination status prior to starting a position or, at the
latest, by their position start date.

SALARY AND
BENEFITS:
The annual salary range is $166,752 to $195,792 with a
doctorate degree may be eligible for a doctoral degree differential of $5,952 per academic year. Final salary
placement occurs after the selected candidate has completed the hiring clearance process. An excellent benefits package which includes
medical, vision, dental and life insurance is available for the employee and eligible dependents. Benefits include, 15.5 paid holidays
annually, 15-24 days paid vacation annually depending on length of District service, medical/hospital, dental and vision care plans and
a $50,000 group life insurance policy.
