To provide a variety of HR support to 70+ restaurants in Illinois, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Indiana. This role assists in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, employment, affirmative action and employment equity program. This position requires an extremely coachable and agile person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
· Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
· Support all levels of the organization by providing human resources advice, counsel and recommendations, analyzing all information and real-life store execution
· Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing and updating policies, procedures and guidelines; communicating clearly and aligning with overall cultural values
· Assist with matters relating to EEOC filings and investigations
· Strong supporter with needed documentation for employee investigations
· Assist with performance management procedures
Compliance & Reporting:
· Assist with all internal and external HR related inquires or requests
· Support the field with Form I-9 inquires as well as the ability to verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files.
· Assist with driver onboarding and submission of online background checks.
· Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action.
· Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
· Accountable for analytics and analysis related to employee turnover and required compliance checkpoints
· Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices; including but not limited to COVID-19
Desired Qualifications
· Hardworking, dedicated, and driven HR professional who wants to grow professionally
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related field
· 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator
· HRIS experience preferred
· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
· Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations
· Restaurant/hospitality experience is a plus
· Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
· Fantastic organizational and time management skills
· Proficiencies in MS applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
