Luxium Solutions is seeking a strategic Global Supply Chain Director to lead the overall supply chain operations of the company. This position will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the company’s supply chain functions including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier management on a global scale. In conjunction with local teams, the Global Supply Chain Director will collaborate to develop and execute strategies that optimize the company’s supply chain processes, maintain competitive advantage, drive efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer demands.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement global supply chain vision, goals, strategies and initiatives to support business objects, enable profitable growth, and improve supplier performance.
- Deploy and lead the monthly Sales and Operations planning process to develop the priorities of execution for all the functions
- Minimize total sourcing costs and supply risks with a sustainable approach for the global business. Deliver on identified and new Value Creation Initiatives (VCI) related to Supply Chain optimization
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and drive cost savings
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
Requirements
The Global Supply Chain Director is multifaceted in nature of overseeing activities across diverse geographic regions, dealing with various stakeholders, and managing intricate logistics networks. Must effectively employ strategic vision, strong leadership, adaptability, and have a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of operations on a global scale.
The ideal candidate for the Global Supply Chain Director position should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in global supply chain management, within the technical manufacturing industry. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, or a related field is required, while a master’s degree is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, inventory management, procurement, and logistics is essential. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are also required. Professional certifications such as APICS or CSCP are highly desirable.
This is a senior-level position that requires strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and the ability to drive change and innovation in the global supply chain function.
