Lynn A Sylvester CPA P.A. is a well-established CPA firm in downtown Waynesville. We have an opening for a full-time Tax & Accounting Team Member. We are seeking an efficient, service-oriented team member with strong interpersonal and computer skills to assist in providing tax, accounting, and consulting services to our business and individual clients.

We are looking for a candidate interested in stepping into an ownership role. This person must possess strong communication skills and be able to work directly will our clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• Our strong preference would be a CPA or CPA candidate or an EA (Enrolled Agent) with at least three years’ experience working in a public accounting firm on all types of tax returns including business and individual returns.

Responsibilities will depend on level of experience and will include:

• Tax return preparation/review and advisory services with an emphasis on returns for business entities.
• Tax research and assist with planning for clients and responses to tax authority inquiries.
• Assist and/or supervise preparation of financial statements (tax basis), payroll, payroll report services, etc.
• Small business consulting, including (but not limited to) QuickBooks consulting.
• Overtime may be required, particularly around tax deadlines.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
