MAB Community Services has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Recruiter to join a dynamic HR team, devoted to excellence, inclusion, accessibility, and diversity in fulfilling MAB’s mission, while providing a high level of customer service.
MAB Community Services is a non-profit human service organization serving adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities, adults with acquired brain injuries, individuals who are blind or visually impaired, and neurodivergent youth. MAB Human Resources is currently building our team with enthusiastic mission-driven professionals with the desire to rebuild lives and grow professionally. We are seeking a team member who is collaborative, optimistic, flexible, and proactive to support our goal of making MAB an employer of choice.
The Recruiter will be directly supervised by Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
This critical role is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of competent staff who provide excellent support to individuals in Adult Disability Services (ADS) residential programs. As a member of the HR team working with MAB leadership, the Recruiter will identify areas for process improvement and participate in implementation. You will work collaboratively with ADS managers and directors to ensure that all available shifts are staffed with qualified staff. The Recruiter will help to develop a pipeline of qualified staff who are available to move into full-time and part-time permanent positions within the department. In this hybrid position (both on-site and remote), the Recruiter will recruit for additional high-need MAB Community Services vacancies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RECRUITMENT
Hire staff for ADS residential programs and other MAB Community Services vacancies as needed.
Complete a wide variety of recruitment-cycle responsibilities including, in part, sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, checking references, and completing and processing essential paperwork and other regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, including on-site visits to their locations, thus developing a thorough understanding of the needs and culture of each area you will recruit and hire into.
Inform current staff of open permanent positions and encourage qualified staff to apply.
Timely referral of qualified candidates to hiring managers while tracking status of open positions and candidates.
Creatively source and recruit candidates using a variety of outlets, while effectively building a diverse, qualified candidate pool. Develop community partnerships and hiring pipelines.
Ensure references, CORI, and DPPC registry checks are completed on all final candidates/new hires as appropriate.
Provide timely and accurate onboarding information to new hires.
Advertise open positions in appropriate websites, media outlets, careers offices and other venues.
Ensure all required certifications or licenses are in place upon hire and updated.
Comply with MAB and DDS policies and applicable state laws and generate weekly requisitions reports.

LICENSURE REQUIREMENT
Valid driver’s license preferred. Must be willing to travel to all locations as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required – Business major or major in Human Resource Management strongly preferred.
In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and direct or related experience may be considered.
· A minimum 1 year recruiting experience.
· Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) required.
· Experience sourcing with Indeed required.
· ADP Workforce Now experience is preferred.
· Excel basic working knowledge is required.
