We are seeking a full-time HR Compliance Specialist to oversee facility wide compliance including New Employee Orientation; mandatory HR trainings for new and existing employees and vaccine compliance. The incumbent will also handle all activities related to the immigration process, which including assessing new cases for immigration approval, completing related documentation and forms for work permits, permanent residency and update to work authorizations. You will provide consultation and guidance to the HR employment team, department managers, & employees regarding the immigration process and status on pending cases, prepare all immigration files and public access files to ensure compliancy.
Other responsibilities include:
- Proactively stays abreast of all U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations/changes to immigration laws, as it relates to employment practices
- Review/creates immigration data reports; evaluates, recommends, and implements immigration improvement plans and changes to the immigration process to avoid any risks to the Medical Center
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Ensures 100% employee compliance with New Employee Orientation; annual Sexual Harassment Training, USERRA Training and required vaccinations.
- Responsible for tracking and timely responses to subpoenas; interfacing with necessary departments for required documentation
We require:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related degree; Master’s in Human Resources preferred.
- 3+ years of working experience handling the immigration process, preferably in Human Resources and/or in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of US immigration laws, visa classifications, and immigration visa processes required.
- Computer proficiency (strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving skills; organizational, multi-tasking under deadline
