The Position
The MA I position oversees the business operations and manages the critical and administrative functions of the department to ensure continuity of operations. They are responsible for recruitment coordination to ensure that hiring managers adhere to the policies, rules, practices, and requirements related to recruitment, selection, and hiring of staff. They will collaborate with hiring managers to plan recruitment strategies to include workflow for justification to fill positions, recruitment priorities, advertising, oversight on recruitment plans and questions, and interview practices. Upon hire, the MA I will support new employee onboarding activities and orientation processes and support the department’s performance review process by processing performance reviews and supporting disciplinary issues, and performance coaching. The MA I will also be responsible for maintaining organization charts and position control, reconciling position costs and changes between the County Financial software and the County’s Budget software, and acting as a Payroll liaison to correct problems with employee position or payroll records and reporting processes.

This is a non-represented position and is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
Regular and limited duration full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week and job share employees are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following employment.
