Mark Young Construction, LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for a Human Resource Manager, based in or near Frederick, Colorado. The Human Resources Manager is focused on the employee. He/she works directly with MYC employees at all levels to create an engaging environment for the employee. Specific areas include employee engagement, employee relations, internal communications, employee development, employee recognition, new employee orientation and onboarding, and change management. This position is a key component of maintaining the culture at MYC, and providing an environment that is reliable and predictable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Onboarding/Orientation

• Partner with the recruiting manager on the onboarding of new employees.
• Drive the new employee experience, including orientation, new hire training, and new hire curriculum.
• Participate in new employee orientation, to welcome new employees and become their resource for HR questions and concerns including pay and benefits.
• Partner with the operations group or other departments to ensure there is a training plan for each new employee before they come on site.
• Partner with the operations group and the VP, HR on training opportunities, and participate in the development of programs to increase the success of the new employee at MYC.

Employee Relations & Engagement

• Administer employee relations issues, partnering with employee(s) and manager(s) to resolve concerns as they arise. Determine root cause of the concern, and suggest steps to avoid in the future.
• Monitor employee engagement survey(s) or interviews/conversations; report results with suggestions for improvement.
• Establish a presence in the company as a resource for employees and managers. This will require some travel and significant time on the job site(s).
• Sponsor the employee engagement committee, including member selection and participation, and activity execution.

Employee Development

• Work with the leadership team to assist with the development, deployment, and delivery of training across the organization.
• Monitor, report, and reinforce training completion using the LMS

Employee Recognition

• Partner across the business on employee recognition initiatives ranging from birthday/anniversaries to personal/professional accomplishments to department/company achievements.

Internal Communications

• Partner on the development of internal communications including newsletter messages and articles, content, etc.

HRMS/Compliance

• Ensure new employees are correctly entered into HRMS (Human Resource Management System)
• Ensure all employee data is correct and accurate in the HRMS.
• Ensure all timecards are approved prior to payroll process.
• Ensure benefits and garnishments are correctly input into the HRMS.
• Ensure employee files are accurate, up to date, and compliant with regulations and MYC practices.
• Identify legal requirements and government regulations affecting HR practices in all states where MYC performs work and ensure compliance
• Leave administration
• Reporting and other HRMS functions as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related fields.
• Minimum four years of related HR experience.
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certificate preferred.
• 
  This position will average 50% of the week in the office and 50% of the week in the field (with travel in and outside Colorado)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range is $80-$85k plus bonus
• Paid medical, dental and vision (dependents are extra)
