The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordination and production of communications and marketing materials and media at Bend Park & Recreation District. Working as part of the Community Relations team, the Marketing Coordinator will communicate the district’s mission, benefits, services, programs and events by representing what it means to “Play For Life” and supporting recreation participation and revenue goals.

Schedule:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 40 hours per week throughout the year. Work is typically conducted and regularly scheduled at the Bend Park & Recreation District office, Monday Friday during regular business hours. Alternative schedules and hybrid office/remote locations may be possible.
Compensation:
The hiring range for this position is $29.74 – $36.88 Hourly ($61,859.20 – $76,705.41 Annually).

Possession of, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Oregon driver’s license.

Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed indoors requiring the ability to work and maintain focus in a work environment with moderate noise (i.e., working around others making periodic phone calls or having conversations) and with frequent interruptions. Work performed outdoors includes exposure to inclement weather including heat, cold, humidity, wind, snow, and rain and standing and walking over uneven terrain such as parks and trails with up/down includes paved and unpaved surfaces. Frequent focus on a computer screen, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, pushing, and pulling. Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Manual dexterity and coordination; daily precise control of fingers and hand movements while operating computer keyboard, telephone and standard office equipment. Must be able to travel to event locations and District facilities in, around, or outside the greater Bend area.
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other works accurately, loudly or quickly.
Requires crouching, bending, kneeling, sitting, reaching, setting-up and tearing-down activities; ability to push, pull, lift or carry up to 30 pounds; and ability to periodically work evenings, weekends, and holiday hours as well as on emergency notice for support to critical District services.
Supervision Received: Works under the general supervision of a manager. Follows standard processes and procedures without supervision but confirms changes to standard practices and significant decisions in advance.
Supervision Exercised: Positions in this classification do not provide direct supervision but exercises leadership and provides direction to all staff in areas of specific responsibility. May oversee thirdparty contractors, outside vendors and volunteers as appropriate for specific projects or events.
