The responsibility of the Property Accountant is to oversee property accounting functions for assigned properties on a day to day basis. The Property Accountant must possess knowledge of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accounting accuracy, good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
· Enter and post monthly Accounts Receivables into Accounting System.
· Maintain financial records for client companies, analyzing Balance Sheets and General Ledger accounts.
· Review AR and provide reports to the Property Manager each month .
· Generate monthly invoices for all Accounts Receivable (as scheduled) including Rent, Management Fees and Work Orders.
· Follow-up on past due receivables as directed.
· Assist with Budget development, report generation (routine and as requested by others).
· Maintain accounting document and records, insuring property financial files remain current.
· Deposit all checks into bank accounts, electronically and physically as required.
· Mail out checks as needed.
· Create and maintain accurate property abstracts for multiple properties
· Maintain required W-9 documents for vendors, electronically and paper copies, enter into Yardi Voyager.
· Support the Accounts Payable process.
· Work in tandem with the Property Manager, entering work orders into the Building Engines operations work order system.
· Produce and distribute end of month billings for property maintenance work orders.
· Create supporting documents, spreadsheets, charts as required.
· Support all property acquisitions/transitions procedures as required.
Desired Skills:
· 10 + years’ experience in property accounting
· Proficient in the use of property management software, preferably YARDI
· Proficient in Microsoft EXCEL and Word
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Working knowledge of building/facilities operations software
· Oral and written communications
· Problem solving and financial analysis
This employer will offer flexibility with a hybrid or work of home option.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
