The Barbie and Dolls Brand Creative Team is looking for an experienced midlevel motion graphics designer with a passion for social, TikTok, as well as branding and graphic design. Highly driven to take on conceptual ideation, and execution of compelling messaging, visuals, graphics and motion across social platforms. Must demonstrate a proven track record in developing strategically driven ideas and creative assets, with a strong understanding of social and digital best practices, motion graphics, graphic design, typography, as well as a passion for what we do every day – inspiring the limitless possibilities for generations to come!
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Strong understanding of social best practices, motion graphics, and design principles is required
• Knowledge and fluency on all social platforms, a passion for what’s happening in culture
• Lead the conceptualization and creative development of big ideas that are on-brand, on trend across social platforms
• Execute asset creation, primarily motion graphics, against social strategy and brand guidelines
• Prioritize multiple projects at any given time and efficiently deliver on time especially given real-time, responsive nature of social landscape
• Collaborate and partner with team of social strategists, community managers, copywriters,
producers, and fellow designers in a positive and productive manner
• Maintain ownership of work from concept through final delivery while appropriately
communicating with supervisor to ensure alignment
• Must have a love of culture, fashion, and brand storytelling
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Strong Social and digital first experience required to create compelling, breakthrough assets with graphic design and an emphasis on motion graphics and light editing
• Excellent computer skills: Adobe Suite, and all relevant software tied to graphic design, and
content creation
• Demonstrate ability to translate core branding equities and tone through a variety of digital marketing activations
• Versed and on-top of current trends (art, pop culture, design & typography, advertising, social media, digital, entertainment, etc.)
• Tapped into global youth-oriented design, marketing campaigns and trends
• Ability to see large picture while not losing focus of details
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 4+ years minimum in Art Direction, Graphic Design or similar field
• Branding, graphic design, and motion graphics experience required
• Digital and Social experience preferred
