The Project Analyst will help support the Program Manager and Team on a dynamic and exciting cybersecurity program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Duties

As a Project Analyst supporting Maveris programs, you will play a crucial role in supporting various programmatic activities and surge support tasks for the VA program. Your responsibilities will include:

Project Coordination and Management:

• Assist in the coordination and tracking of project activities and deliverables related to Cybersecurity Execution Management Services, Vulnerability Scanning Services, Cybersecurity Analytics, Technical Services, Incident Response and Monitoring, and Advisory Services.
• Maintain and update project schedules, track project milestones, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Data Collection and Reporting:

• Collect and analyze data related to cloud compliance, vulnerability scanning, adversarial emulation testing, and incident response.
• Prepare and distribute regular reports on project status, metrics, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Support the creation of detailed reports such as the Cloud Incident Response Plan (IRP) Preparedness/Tabletop Exercise Plan, Cloud Adversarial Emulation Testing/Assessment Report, and Cloud Security Posture Review Report.

Documentation and Support:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of project documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, and configuration reviews.
• Support the project team in documenting configurations and reviewing compliance with VA policies and standards.

Risk Management and Compliance:

• Assist in the development of the VA cybersecurity risk register and document risk assessment findings.
• Help identify and document gaps in security controls and monitor the implementation of remediation actions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the educational requirement
• Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in project analysis or project management support
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
• Familiarity with project management tools and software
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices is preferred but not required
