Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do:
Act as a consultant to new employees
Collaborate with all Department heads to ensure their employees have necessary training and are provided with all appropriate Company documents during the on-boarding experience
Partner with Supervisors and Managers to regularly check progress and performance of new and tenured selectors to uncover coaching opportunities and identify steps to improve performance.
Oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations
Assist VP with organizing orientation programs
Monitor new hire turnover and retention rates
Gather candidate experience feedback from new hires
Assist existing employees when they move to a new department or position
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
Assist with month end close including reconciliations and journals
Assist with quarter end and year end audits
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
Identify and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve processes, create efficiencies, and reduce costs
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
What We’re Seeking:
Availability Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Advanced with payroll software
Occasionally lift 15 pounds
