Position description
This position is expected to add value to the Human Resource department by ensuring effective integration of HR Technology data in a changing environment through development of requirements, testing and implementation of current, new and modified HR Technology components following standard project management methodologies. HR Technology aspires to provide the best technology support to the Human Resources function of Mayo Clinic using a team approach that relies on a variety of stakeholders working together to balance and leverage technology to the greatest benefit for Mayo. The HR Technology Analyst II works as a liaison between HR and IT to provide day-to-day support and analysis and to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of Human Resources and users of HR information. The HR Technology Analyst II maintains a broad knowledge of Mayo Clinic’s administrative systems and processes with an expert understanding of their interrelationships and dependencies. The HR Technology Analyst II works with the business area and/or project team to assess needs for the various business functions, translate business functional requirements into technical specifications and recommends appropriate scope of requirements to ensure that processes are aligned with the technology solution. Follows standard project management methodologies for determining, gathering and documenting business process, technical and operational requirements, testing (including hands-on creation of test plans and scripts) and implementation of current, new and modified HR Technology components. Develops high-quality documentation related to design, configuration, processes/workflow, and integration/interface requirements. A variety of technologies are supported including both vendor delivered applications, SaaS, and in-house developed solutions. The analyst works with staff from all sites to coordinate systems support for foundation applications. Performs troubleshooting of moderately complex technical issue related to system functionality, application development, and data integrity. Tracks and follows issues through to resolution, including communications to all stakeholders. Provides daily support to ensure successful user experience with all HR data management systems. Conducts needs assessments and captures voice of the customer to identify gaps, evaluates information and recommends solutions and develops approaches to enhance capabilities. Creates process documentation and user tools, manages content within HR portals and information sites. The HR Technology Analyst II is responsible for the development and maintenance of reporting required to implement and maintain HR Technology and support business process needs of the primary system users.
This is a limited tenure position with an anticipated end date based on Harwick project needs, anticipated within 1-2 years.

Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 6 years combined experience in business application support (HR Technology, ERP, Data Warehouse, other Mayo Clinic business/technical applications) or Human Resources experience.
Additional qualifications
Master’s degree and project management experience and PMP certification preferred. Prior HR Technology experience strongly preferred. Must possess the ability to support multiple concurrent projects, make trade-offs, facilitate project planning meetings, meet tight deadlines and escalate effectively as necessary in order to meet project timelines to manage and mitigate project risks. This position requires an individual who is self-directed, can effectively multi-task, thrives in an unstructured environment, and handles ambiguity well. They must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence, communicate effectively with internal and external audiences and demonstrate ability to maintain outstanding customer relations. Must be able to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality, demonstrate ability to maintain outstanding customer relations, to understand customer needs, and to partner with IT in a responsive manner to implement technology solutions. Direct hands on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software. Must possess the analytical ability to break down a problem or situation into its component parts, identifying implications, timeframes and sequences, while remaining cognitive of the big picture. Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies. Must be willing to support occasional travel and on-call support responsibilities. Excellent understanding of ERP business modules and tools recommended. Previous experience in supporting an ERP system recommended.
