Orthopedic Surgery
Coordinate operations of physician and allied health staff in the outpatient, inpatient setting for the Divisions of Hand Surgery, Orthopedic Oncology, Orthopedic Spine Surgery and our department Data Management activities in alignment with institutional and department/division mission, vision, and objectives. Serves as a key member of the leadership team with a primary focus on planning and implementation of policies and systems. Facilitates project management while leading a multidisciplinary team including financial analysis, problem solving, and team collaboration. Regulates staffing in accordance with fluctuating workload. Partners in the support of department/division and institutional projects, staff recruitment, policy implementation, and serves as a primary resource for issues and communications. Performs duties independently and initiates judgment in handling a variety of management issues. Direct reports include operational and clinical supervisors and/or other department/division personnel.
Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The Operations Manager is one of the two Operations Managers and serves as a key member of the leadership team with operational responsibility for a broad and diverse practice. Practice settings include over 11 areas in outpatient, acute consult services, Inpatient Rehabilitation Services and the Mayo Clinic Health Systems Division of PM&R. The OM will partner closely with physician, administrative and allied health to grow and develop the practice in alignment with departmental and institutional goals . The OM leads efforts in practice redesign, strategic growth, development of new care models and in driving efficiencies while ensuring patient experience and staff satisfaction.
General Internal Medicine (GIM)-International Medicine
The Operations Manager will fill a unique role supporting the Section of International Medicine within General Internal Medicine with primary responsibility for operationalizing Mayo Clinic International / Department of Medicine’s 2030 vision enhancing GIM’s role in the international patients’ experience. He/she/they will also serve as administrative partner to GIM’s Innovation and Quality Chair to drive innovation across GIM and support GIM Education activities. This operations manager will partner with physician leaders and utilize skills in driving to a bold vision, change management, conflict management, process and quality improvement, innovation, and teamwork.
Ophthalmology
The Department of Ophthalmology has an opening for an Operations Manager to support the Rochester and Midwest Practice operations with direct reports in Rochester and SEMN. The Ophthalmology OM actively partners with Ophthalmology leadership in Rochester and the Midwest practice. This position will be actively involved managing day to day operations including patient access, practice optimization, financial analysis, OR utilization, and staffing. Ophthalmology has a medical and surgical component with high volumes of patients seen on a daily basis and approximately 5,500 surgical cases per year.
Department of Surgery
The Operations Managers in the Department of Surgery provide day-to-day support of the clinical practice, partnering closely with physicians, allied health and administrative leaders to ensure success of the practice across all shields. The OM is a key member of the Surgery Administrative Committee and will have responsibility for supporting the Divisions of Breast & Melanoma Surgical Oncology and Plastic Surgery. The Department of Surgery performs in excess of 19,000 primary surgical procedures per year and consists of 12 clinical Divisions.

Department of Emergency Medicine Midwest Operations
The Department of Emergency Medicine has an opening for an Operations Manager to support the Midwest Practice operations. The ED OM actively partners with ED Leadership supporting all aspects of the Midwest practice. This position will be actively involved in EM Telemedicne expansion and supporting the MW EM Community Division. This position will be actively involved in quality improvement initiatives and disseminating best practices to our regional emergency departments. EM Telemedicine is a strategic element of our 2030 Bold Forward initiatives.
