McLeod Addictive Disease Center Hiring For Revenue Cycle Management Specialist at Charlotte, NC  Full Time

McLeod Center is currently seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Management Specialist for its Accounts Receivable Department. This position is based in our headquarters in Charlotte with the potential for some duties to be performed remotely.

What does this position do for the agency? This position is responsible for the following, with other duties as assigned:

• Process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications
• Obtain required documentation and compile credentialing packets
• Create NCID accounts for new clinicians and enroll clinicians with NC Tracks
• Submit credentialing packets to MCOs or other payers for enrollment
• Maintain credentialing spreadsheet by inputting new information or updating existing information regarding employee licenses and credentialing status.
• Support clinicians with establishing NPI’s, CAQH profiles and other processes
• Process authorization requests for MCO’s, private insurance and Medicaid and Medicare
• Provide backup support for billing and cash applications

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

• Experience in medical billing field required, behavioral health billing experience preferred
• Education / certification in medical billing preferred; experience considered
• Detail-oriented, accurate and able to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands
• Willingness to take initiative and work proactively
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information
• Ability to perform duties with tact, independent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion
• Proficiency with standard office software packages, e.g. MS Word and advanced Excel

What kind of education and experience is needed?
Experience in medical accounting or billing field required, behavioral health billing experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree, major in finance or accounting preferred
