The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for optimizing HR processes and systems to create a positive employee experience as well as setting and implementing good compliance/audit standards. This is an integral role that will balance a mix of day-to-day operations, programmatic initiatives, and projects that will contribute to the overall success of both teams.
Responsibilities:
HR Audits & Data Integrity:
Ownership of internal and external compliance audit processes, with the ability to identify and correct errors
Conduct regular internal audits with the ability to identify and correct errors
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with HITRUST, URAC, Wage and Hour, and HR policies and procedures
Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered in the HRIS System and databases and assure information is available on a timely basis
Manage data integrity activities including data audits, data cleanup strategy, and manual cleanup work
Maintain the digital copies of employees’ records for all companies
Talent Acquisition Support:
Ownership of various processes such as I-9, E-verify, OIG, and WOTC verifications with the ability to identify and correct errors
Manage background check vendor and provide the Talent Team the names of completed background checks, expired background check links, and background checks that have items for review
Complete HRIS portion of key HR transactions such as new hire activity
Create and maintain employee files with required documentation
Create and manage communication
Participate in the development and implementation of Talent Acquisition programs as requested
Develop and create technical user documents for hiring managers
Assist with maintaining Job Boards and Advertising as needed
HR Operations Support:
Assist in daily HR operation queries through Service Now
Identify, recommend and implement best practices and process improvements to support business goals
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HR programs, policies, and processes, payroll, and HR systems
Revise and/or recommend creation of HR policies in compliance with local and federal laws
Responsible for the creation of Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and process workflows
Participate and contribute to the pro-active review and implementation of process improvements
Supports daily activities, maintenance and configuration of current HRIS System
Research and test new functionality and features within the current HRIS system including system releases, enhancements, fixes and the deployment of new functionalities
Automate and enable ongoing process improvements to enable the system to ease the use of employees and leaders, allow the system to be utilized to its fullest extent and provide greater value to the overall organization
Assist HR Operations and the Talent Acquisition team on other projects as needed

All you need is…
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor’s degree in HR / Business or related field; or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3+ years in an HR related role
Advanced level of proficiency or above with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Even better if you have…
Minimum of 2 + years’ experience managing and auditing HR data; 4 years preferred
Previous experience with Workday is strongly preferred
Previous HR administrative support strongly preferred
PHR/SHRM certification, preferred
Basic understanding of employment law
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
Exceptional organization skills
Excellent communication skills
High level of Initiative
Ability to troubleshoot, anticipate problems, use good judgment and take appropriate action to ensure system reliability
Ability to set goals, define strategies and prioritize resources independently and to collaborate with other Team Members, as needed, to achieve departmental goals
Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and customer service
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and continuously take action
