Specialist, Recruiting & Training
The Specialist, Recruiting & Training must work closely with Managers to understand their recruiting needs, post open positions, interview, and hire new team members, and to assist in the administration of training programs. The Specialist, Recruiting & Training must be able to work effectively and efficiently with all company departments to ensure their specific training needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Responsibilities
Responsible for selling the M&IW brand during recruiting, interviewing and onboarding of applicants.
Collaborate with all corporate department managers to:
Create, manage and complete posting checklist for all postings
Create process for necessary advertising material for job postings through various job boards to be linked to M&IW website.
Post jobs via Talent Acquisition System (which includes feeds to Indeed, Career Builder, Glassdoor, LinkedIn); and as needed through Meeting Jobs, MPI, Milwaukee Jobs, etc.
Maintain working relationships and contacts with local colleges for interns and new hires
Investigate candidates through LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media resources
Talent Acquisition Platform Process
Maintain job description library to keep current and expanding roles up to date.
Perform initial interview with applying candidates:
Ensure reference checks are completed on potential candidates
Analyze existing recruiting tool to determine functionality for recruiting purposes. Ensuring that it is a searchable database of all candidates, including interview comments
Manage new hire surveys by:
Maintain continued updates of recruiting documentation to the Hub
Onboarding & Training
Assist the Sr. Director of Training & Development
Assign training in online learning platform
Build new training within platform as needed
Run reports to ensure mandatory training is completed
Post training to the Hub Training & Resources page, as well as UKG training calendar
Provide additional training support as needed
Corporate Responsibilities
Support all corporate goals and objectives, adherence to all company policies
Exhibit respect and fairness to all clients, staff, coworkers, suppliers, and management
Demonstrate commitment to overall M&IW success
Qualifications:
College Degree or equivalent experience
Experience in recruiting, interviewing and managing data in a Talent Acquisition System
A full understanding of the meeting and event industry, including the HCP side, to help qualify candidates
Ability to work with and train associates/colleagues of all levels and abilities
Strong level of patience, understanding
Clear, concise and effective communicator
Organization & multi-tasking skills
Prioritization & detail oriented
Teamwork oriented
Solutions oriented
Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft Word (mail merges, agenda creation, tables, etc.), Excel (formatting, utilizing formulas for efficiency such as concatenating, Vlook up, if/then, etc.), Outlook (email management, tasks and scheduling), OneNote
Highly proficient in UKG, Cvent, Concur
