The Division of Student Success and Engagement at Messiah University currently has an opening for the position of Medical
Director/Provider.
The Medical Director/Provider (MD, DO, or CRNP) is responsible for the management and leadership of
student Health Services and for independently providing primary care/urgent care services for undergraduate college students. Emergency,
after-hours consult availability will be required for issues that cannot be managed by campus EMTs, Dispatch staff, or the 24/7 telehealth
services which are also available to students. This is a modified, full-time, 12-month position with 10 months of full-time hours from
August 1 – May 31 annually, and 5 hours per week during the months of June and July.
Education/Licensure Required:
MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner or MD/DO. National certification in area of specialty and licensure in the state of Pennsylvania are
required.
Training Preferred: CPT training/experience, BLS for Healthcare Providers
Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in primary care (family practice or other primary care treating
college-aged population) and administration. Experience in college health is preferred.
