Seeking a full time Industrial/Marine Designer to join our studio in downtown Sarasota, FL.

POSITION SUMMARY
Work in a dynamic and creative environment, designing exciting products for a multitude of boat manufacturers and prominent global shipyards, as well as bespoke designs for individuals seeking fully custom yachts.
Anticipate focusing on all areas of boat design, initial concept design and prototyping to final CAD modeling for production tooling.
Define profile and deck plans, general arrangements, and interior layouts. Learn to identify and incorporate existing brand identities into designs when working with legacy brands, or develop entirely new form languages when assisting startups and custom clientele.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Utilize market research and contextual observations to inform design intent.
• Hand/Digital sketching, with the ability to rapidly conceptualize in 2D and 3D formats.
• Strong form development skills and the ability to move quickly into CAD design.
• Clear communication with team members and clientele to help facilitate successful projects.
• Understand human factors and ergonomic requirements onboard watercraft.
• Produce photorealistic 3D renderings for client review and product marketing purposes.
• Advanced 3D surface modeling and 2D drawing production for deliverable construction packages to clients. This is our principal work product, so anticipate an emphasis on CAD modeling and detailed design for the production of recreational vessels.
QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related design degree is required.
• 2-5 Years of Marine Industry experience is preferred.
• At minimum, proficiency in Rhino 3D, Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Suite.
• Candidates should have a strong understanding of composite tooling development and production design constraints.
• Experience in new product development and design.
• High proficiency in 3D modeling, generating parts, assemblies, and drawings.
• Ability to collaborate in a dynamic environment, taking responsibility for your work and accepting critique and feedback from team members.
• Must have authorization to work lawfully in the USA.
• High ethical and professional standards.
