Partner Marketing Management
Required:
The Device Partner Solutions Sales (DPSS) team plays a critical role in achieving Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more through our partners. We build, market and sell intelligent edge and intelligent cloud devices and solutions with partners, including OEMs, device distribution channels, original design manufacturers, and Silicon providers. We work closely with our device ecosystem and internal business groups to build devices that consume our cloud, innovate with device partners, and transform how we sell devices and services with partners.
We are looking for a Sr. Partner Marketing Manger who can strategize, create and execute holistic end-to-end co-marketing campaigns driving Windows Client licenses, Windows Server license, Office attach revenue, and Windows Pro and EDU activations across our channel. You will amplify Windows 11, Server, Office, Pro and EDU by driving the modern workplace transformation in partnership with OEMs through commercial channel partners and with direct enterprise customers.
This role is essential in driving the digital transformation through partners and bringing the modern workplace to life for customers. We need strong regional leaders to drive holistic One Microsoft plans, understand and land messaging and creative campaigns, innovate fresh marketing ideas, and evangelize our curated collection of hero products as well as regularly represent the voice of our partners, customers, and colleagues at events across the US. Responsibilities
Marketing Planning
- Create, drive, and influence content with stakeholders based on research, marketing trends, industry, and compete landscape
- Assist investment process by identifying, executing, and scoping partner marketing opportunities to drive impact
Marketing Excellence
- Analyze to measure success metrics and ensure strong ROI through marketing plans
- Identify trends in partner and compete data to help assess impact of a project
- Adapts partner marketing approach and projects based on feedback/data
- Creates quantitative marketing models that valuate, prioritize, and target segments, audiences, programs
- Ensures privacy, brand, funding, SOW, POE, processes, and policies are followed
- Be the lead gen and marketing funnel SME of DPS
Partner Experiences
- Design, execute, and localize partner experiences
- Localize/land campaigns to drive lead gen through partner
- Build readiness plan for partners to ensure capability building around DPS LOBs
- Drive P2P collab of marketing activities to build impact of partner experiences and solutions/offerings.
Partner Marketing Management
- Drives marketing excellence at DPSS regional execution level
- Own exec-level partner marketing relationships in order to work towards mutual biz objectives and alignment to partner priorities
- Advises and aligns partners on marketing best practices as SME
- Land comms of marketing messages and product/program incentive changes thru/to partners
- Drive demand gen to build partner co-sell pipeline through solution area sales plays execution and P2P
Key Outcomes and Measure of Success:
- Sales/activation results of Windows Devices, Office attach, Server attach, and Edu devices
- Leads generated and closed through campaigns
- Number of sales enablement activities
- Number of sales reps trained
- Event (DBTE, Channel Connect) participant ratings
- Number of accounts syndicating digital content & leveraging ExpertZone
Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience
- OR 9+ years equivalent experience.
Preferred:
- 4-6+ years channel marketing management, product management, marketing strategy, event planning, product planning, or related work experience
- Experience working in a matrixed, complex, cross-functional structure
- Proven expertise in marketing management. Success in scaling existing marketing models and building new programs, campaigns, and opportunities for growth
- Proven ability to build and drive strong partner relationships, you can become your clients trusted advisor
- Executive communication skills with the ability to influence internally and externally
- Thriving in ambiguity and challenging status quo
- Background in PC hardware and/or the commercial hardware channel is a plus
- Travel required, 25% depending on role location
