Compensation:
The Human Resources Generalist performs daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department under direction of the HR Director, which may include talent acquisition, payroll administration, benefits, leave management, employee health & safety, and enforcing company policies and practices.
1. Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment process.
2. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
3. Coordinate pre-hire screening, including background checks, drug screens, and employee eligibility verifications.
4. Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives.
5. Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as benefits, leaves of absence, employee health and safety, and resolve any issues that may arise.
6. Promptly process employee changes in HRIS to ensure accuracy and reliability of the system.
7. Process weekly payroll and oversee timecard processing.
8. Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
9. Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
10. Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
11. Responsible for OSHA record-keeping and Workers Compensation incidents and reports.
12. Participate as an active member of the Safety Committee.
13. Assist in the coordination and planning of HR events and participate in company events as necessary.
14. May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
15. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
16. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (may require occasional working outside of regularly schedule hours based on operational need).
Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 (may occasionally require working beyond 40 hours based on operational need).
