Job Summary:

Responsible for moving projects from ”Concept” to R&D and then into production.

Essential Functions:

• Perform engineering responsibilities required to support the quality system including test plans and reports, validation protocols and reports, data analysis, print creation and refinement, process creation and refinement, required documentation creation, Material Review Board.
• R&D qualification builds prior to production runs.
• Prototyping.
• Support manufacturing.
• Respond to customer complaints, request and questions.
• Assist in customer’s product development.
• Create and improve tooling.
• Maintain or supervise maintenance of production equipment.
• Manage the preventive maintenance program.
• Support on-the-job training of manufacturing personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to climb stairs.

Qualifications:

· Four-year engineering degree or technical degree preferred.

· Two years engineering experience preferred.

· Experience in the medical device preferred.

· Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills a must

· Ability to read and interpret various formats of technical documents required.

· Aptitude for working with and training people required.

· Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.

· Ability to handle customer complaints and questions.

· Ability to manage and direct personnel without any authority to do so.

· Working knowledge of computers required.’
