Your Role
We are looking to on board a motivated and dedicated Recruiting Assistant to join our rapidly expanding team. This individual will provide recruiting and Human Resources support to the Human Resources Manager. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented; possess strong organizational; written and verbal communication skills; enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; and be able to adapt as circumstances require.
This is currently a remote position but will transition to a hybrid remote position in early 2023. The individual in this position may be required to report locally as needed. As such, individuals interested in the position must be located in the Austin, Texas area with a reasonable commute to the Northwest Austin area.
What you are accountable for:
Performing recruitment duties such as scheduling interviews, updating the calendar accordingly, answering phone calls, and monitoring emails;
Working closely with the HR Manager to maintain the candidate database and handle any relevant paperwork;
Assists in preparing and posting job advertisements online;
Screening candidates via initial phone interviews;
Screening applicants’ qualifications via reference checks and employment verifications;
Greeting and assisting interviewees onsite;
Following up with candidates during the recruitment process, like shortlisting callbacks or rejection emails;
Resolving issues such as interview cancellations swiftly;
Assisting successful candidates with the onboarding process, including preparing documents and coordinating orientation agendas;
Displays strong organizational and time management skills;
Other projects/duties as assigned from the HR Manager, CEO or COO;
Interfaces with internal support departments to establish positive customer experience;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude;
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices;
Ability to multitask and prioritize;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting priorities;
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with company policy ;
Must be able to comply with safety standards and best practices;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Environment: office, hybrid remote;
Ambulatory skills: sit for long periods of time;
Ability to transfer weights up to 15 lbs.;
Travel: up to 5% of the time
Requirements:
At least two years of experience in an administrative support role in a Human Resources Department.
Experience using applicant tracking systems, screening applications and conducting phone interviews.
Software and database knowledge and experience, i.e. Microsoft Office, Google products, etc.
Preferred:
Prior CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) specialist experience;
Prior military or law enforcement experience. Veterans/current military: provide DD-214 or statement of service;
Tactical gear market experience or at a minimum, a strong interest;
Experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
