Responsible for pre-engineering, project coordination, inspection, related design, justification of electric distribution and transmission systems and other construction related activities. Responsible for facilitating and coordinating the construction of approved facilities and acts as a liaison withEngineering, Environmental, Safety, Energy Services, Construction Services, local municipalities, and consultants with both internal and external customers.Job Responsibilities1. Provides pre-engineering and related engineering design along with project coordination with region management, in the most efficient manner. Contributes to the justification of electric distribution and transmission systems and other construction related activities.2. Prepares construction authorizations, maps, forms, locates, and other documents relating to construction and maintenance of projects and equipment. Prepares work orders and purchase orders as needed.3. Serves as liaison between the company crews, customers, architects, engineers, contractors and consultants regarding systems design and construction while ensuring safe and appropriate construction practices are observed according to Company,State and Federal regulations.4. Coordinates the acquisition of Rights of Way, Permits and Easements in conjunction with projects.5. Oversees and provides inspection for crews performing construction, maintenance or restoration duties.6. Recommends changes to policies, practices, standards, and procedures that may enhance efficiency, reliability, or safety.7. Works with customers to mitigate and repair abnormal operating conditions to our existing electric system .8. Assists in the response to emergency situations and assists in coordination of repairs in accordance with company policies and procedures.9. Represents Operations at utility coordination and/or pre-construction meetings.10. Accepts “After Hours On-Call Duty” as assigned.11. Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.In addition the Field Operations Coordinator Sr.12. Coordinates the acquisition of Rights of Way, Permits and Easements in conjunction with projects.13. Schedules work for company and contract crews. Provides inspection for crews performing construction, maintenance or restoration duties.14. Responds to emergency situations and assists in coordination of repairs in accordance with company policies and procedures15. Recommends changes to policies, practices, standards, and procedures that may enhance efficiency, reliability, or safety and acts as a subject matter expert within Field Operations.16. Provides leadership and guidance and assists with training of Field Operations Coordinator.17.
