What We Are Looking For:

Mustang Seats is hiring for a Human Resource Manager who is excited to be in a role that blends the daily tactical functions with the strategic business partner responsibilities. This means you will do everything from process weekly payroll and help employees with their ADP app and time off questions to partnering with the General Manager on the people strategy (compensation, workforce planning, succession planning) and everything in between. This role is a special mixture of generalist and strategist that requires someone who wants to be actively involved with the business and its employees.

What You Will Do:

One may say, “doer of all things HR” and that would be pretty accurate since this role is HR for Mustang Seats! Below are some of the key tasks and strategies the Mustang HR Manager will own! Of course, there is no way to capture it all; the scope and functions may be modified as business needs dictate, but here’s a great overview:

• Talent Acquisition
• Effectively recruit for all areas of the business including production, sales, and product development.
• Develop and execute key recruitment strategies to build and sustain a pipeline of diverse talent.
• Craft and maintain job descriptions that accurately reflect the roles in the organization.

• Talent Management
• Support functional leaders with meaningful and timely performance review processes that support the effectiveness of the employee
• Partner with the functional leaders on any employee issues to help provide resolution and ensure consistent application of company standards and practices.
• Conduct timely and fair investigations as needed and collaborate with the General Manager to ensure proper resolution.

• Talent Development
• Partner with the functional leadership to lead the Talent Review process bi-annually; ensure development plans are created and appropriate follow-up conducted.

• Talent Engagement
• Actively engage with employees and ensure they are effectively communicating ideas, concerns, and challenges to their leadership team; provide support to help facilitate the communication as needed.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and functional leaders to support employee engagement activities including employee events, round tables, town halls, surveys with follow-up, etc.

• Compliance
• Effectively manage employee Leave of Absences, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, FMLA/PFMLA requests, Workers Compensation issues, OSHA requirements, and unemployment claims in partnership with vendors and leadership.
• Coordinate workers compensation program, including issues relating to modified duty, and ADA.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements affecting human resources functions and ensures policies and procedures are in compliance.

What Will Make You Successful:

• Bachelor’s Degree or HRCI/SHRM designation.
• 8+ years experience with 5+ years experience in tactical and strategic roles.
• Experience being a highly hands-on HR partner where you did “all things HR” and didn’t have COEs or other support teams to assist you.
• Strong desire to be in a tactical/strategic blended role.
• Experience as an HR partner with fingerprints on key strategies and programs that were successful.
• Depth of experience with developing and executing a people strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels in the organization.
• Proven ability to handle highly confidential information and be seen as a trusted advisor by employees and leadership alike.
• Tech-savvy; highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs and HRIS (ADP a plus!).
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR concepts.
• Proven ability to prioritize workload, self-manage projects, and handle multiple tasks.
• Highly detail-oriented.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
• Experience in manufacturing with a diverse workforce is a huge plus.
• Bi-lingual in either Vietnamese or Russian would be a huge plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
