Reporting into the Executive General Manager – Supply Chain, the Regional Distribution Centre Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of our Eastern Creek Distribution Centre. The successful candidate will manage one multi-skilled team that supports Myer Stores in delivering service excellence, and ensures that all Distribution Centre support activities are operationally efficient, effective, safe and compliant.

About the role:

• Champion a safe work environment
• Ensure a cost effective operation which delivers customer needs through effective leadership
• Organise, plan, control and monitor the distribution of goods from inbound booking into the Distribution Centre to despatch to stores and online customers
• Accountable for providing agreed levels of service to Myer Stores through the efficient and effective management of a broad range of logistics activities
• Establish and maintain key relationships with Myer stores, Support Office departments, contractors, freight forwarders, carriers, authorities, customers and third parties
• Manage, measure, report, and improve compliance activities across the Distribution Centre, freight forwarders, carriers, and suppliers
• Proactive identification, implementation and management of continuous improvement relating to processes, productivity, costs, customer service, people management and workplace safety
• Responsible for all site management activities including building compliance, loss prevention & security, maintenance scheduling, and licensing requirements

About you:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar logistics or Supply Chain role
• Must have experience leading a large team in a multifunctional environment i.e FMCG / Retail / 3PL management
• Experience in change management, network change, or project implementation is essential
• Supply Chain tertiary qualifications highly desired
• Experience in Online fulfilment, 3PL management, transport management, and retail warehousing is highly desired
• Experience with freight forwarder container management, customs bond, trusted trader, and quarantine procedures
• Previous experience leading large teams to high performance through coaching, mentoring and development
• Can demonstrate previous success in financial P&L management and the ability to develop objectives in line with KPI objectives, and with clear timelines, relevant metrics and measures of success
• Demonstrated experience managing volume planning, forecasting, change management, workforce agility, and/or continuous improvement programs
