The National Association of Theatre Owners represents the hardworking owners and operators of movie theatres across the US and the world. We believe that movie theatres are places for everyone and their cultural and financial importance to their communities makes it essential that we advocate to ensure their long-term success. Our goal is to unite and promote the cinema industry so that moviegoing remains the leading out-of-home entertainment choice for current and future generations. To accomplish this feat, we need a Chief Communications Officer to develop and execute a communications strategy that effectively advocates for exhibition. If you have a demonstrated record of success in leading communications efforts in this industry, then this would be an incredible opportunity to use your skills to ensure people will always get to experience the magic of going to a movie.
The goals of this position align with the priorities identified in the most recent NATO strategic plan. These priorities include 1.) theatrical content advocacy, 2.) government relations advocacy; 3.) moviegoing promotion; and 4.) community building. This position will be based out of our Los Angeles, CA office. On a daily basis, employees have the option to work from home or at the office, but all employees are required to attend certain meetings and functions in-person.
