Position Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a key member of our HR Business Partner team working with managers, employees and HR colleagues to execute people initiatives across a subset of our Corporate Functions groups. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and the role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. HRBPs act as day-to-day support to all levels of employees and assist with projects and processes across a full range of HR functions. They partner on all human resources activities including performance management, employee engagement, talent acquisition & development and year-end processes (promotion roundtables, performance evaluation and compensation). Major Responsibilities: * Serve as the relationship owner and principal consultant for a subset of our Corporate Functions leadership recommending, customizing and implementing effective Human Resources solutions to business issues and initiatives. * Provide HR support to people across these business units, such as swift and effective solutions to first level employee questions on all HR topics, triage to functional HR experts as needed. * Act as a trusted advisor to employees in the interpretation of HR policies and procedures and assist in resolution of issues; interpret, coach, and enforce Company policies and procedures for consistency and compliance. * Effectively partner with other related functions – Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation, People Operations & Systems, Benefits, and Legal – to advance the company’s mission, values and business strategies. * Identify solutions to recurring workplace issues or concerns by collecting/analyzing data as well as relying on personal observation as input into this process Assist in interpreting major HR initiatives in collaboration with other HR functional areas (i.e., Salary Planning, Performance Management Processes, Employee Engagement). * Manage a diverse set of company-wide HR projects and initiatives as assigned. * In partnership with HR Operations, process and ensure accuracy of employee data and personnel files. * Manage the employee exit process, analyzing turnover to detect trends. * Conduct exit interviews to assess and gain feedback. * Manage employee immigration process in partnership with legal and benefits teams. * Proactively share client business knowledge with other HR functions. Required Skills/Knowledge: * A minimum of 5-7 years of related HR experience, focused in the business partner, employee relations, or other HR functional areas. * Experience working with various employee types (e.g. Full-time, Union, Project, Contractors) * Ability to build and develop relationships, including ability to influence decision making and decision makers. * Ability to effectively implement the consultant role, including providing prompt, professional and value-added service. * Business acumen and excellent Human Resources knowledge. * Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills (approachable and engaging). * Exceptional intuition, sensitivity, listening and problem-solving skills. * Ability to think strategically and creatively when resolving issues and concerns. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Working knowledge of employment and labor law. * Ability to anticipate the needs of the business and work proactively to provide necessary HR solutions. * Exceptional intuition, sensitivity (good radar) and listening skills. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor & Industrial Relations, general business, communications or psychology is preferred. Advanced degree in Labor & Industrial Relations or MBA with focus in Human Resources preferred.
